Sameera Reddy was born on the 08th Septembar 1982 in Andhra Pradesh city called Rajamundry. Her father was into transport business and while her mother was a house wife. She had got two siblings in real life call Meghna and Sushma Reddy and she did her high school from Bombay and graduated from the Sydenham College.

She is a well read person and she first appeared in ghazal Singer Pankaj Udhass music video called Aur Aahista and it was a popular music video then and got her the attention she wanted. She caught the attention of the audiences in Bollywood with her role in one of her first movies IN 2002 called Maine Dil Tujhko Diya.

She later appeared in the hindi movie called Musafir in 2004 which got her attention and she also acted in lesser known movies like Plan 2002 and Darna Mana Hai in 2003.Sameera Reddy also went on to do Telgu movies like Jai Chiranjeeva and Narasimhudu in 2005 and appeared in a special appearance in hit movie No Entry.

She acted in a number of  hit movies after that which flopped like Taxi Number 9211, Ashoka, Fool and Final in 2006 and 2007. Her role did get noticed in movies like Race in 2008 which was a bit hit that year and it propelled her back into limelight. Recently she appeared in movie like Red Alert:

The War Within which has again got her noticed by the audiences. Her roles in De Dana Dan and One Two Three were not bad either though the movie didnt manage to do well on the box office. Her future projects involve her working for the sequel to Race called Race 2 and a number of Tamil films also which are going to come up in a short span of time.
