Madhuri Dixit has been one of the iconic names in Bollywood since the late 1980s and people have loved to watch her act in movies. She was born on the 15th May 1967 and she is one of the accomplished dancers in Bollywood.

She was born to Marathi parents and she aspired to be a microbiologist in life but choose the acting career and made her first movie in the year 1984 called Abodh. Then she did a number of not of so famous movies for the next four years till her big break came with the super hit movie Tezaab in 1988 and she became recognized in each and every home in India with this movie.

The same year she was in Khatron Ke Khiladi. In 1989 her next best movie was Ram Lakhan which saw her being popular. Tridev and Parinda the same year was also one of the good hits of the movie industry.In 1990 she was in Izzatdaar and the next big blockbuster of her life Dil for which she even got the Best Actress Award by Filmfare.

Then she was in movies like Sailaab and Thanedaar. 1991 saw her doing 100 Days and Saajan opposite Dutt which was a big hit. In 1992 her movie Beta won her the Filfare Best Actress Award. Same year she did movies like Khel and Sangeet.

1993 she was in Khalnayak and the year 1994 saw her in Hum Apke Hain Kaun for which she got best actress award and 1995 saw her in Raja and Yaraana. The year 1997 was particularly good for her as she did Dil to Pagal Hai and Mrityudand winning best actress for the previous movie. In 2000 she did Pukar and in 2002 Devdas winning best supporting actress award. Her latest movie was 2007 Aaja Nachle.
