Katrina Kaif is a British Indian actress and she was born on the 16th July 1984 in Hong Kong to her parents Mohammed Kaif and mother Suzzane Turqotte. She was very young when her parents went their separate ways and got themselves divorced.

She was raised in Hawaii and the United States and later in her mothers home country of England. She has got seven siblings and she began her modeling career at the age of fourteen in London and her first job to campaign for a jewelry product.

She kept working under the Models 1 Agency and walked on the ramp for London Fashion Week too. She was first discovered by film director Kaizad Gustad who gave a role in his movie called Boom in 2003 which was the starting of her career in film industry.

She was denied roles earlier in Bollywood because of her inability to speak English but got roles in movies like Sarkar where she was moderately successful and Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya opposite Salman Khan.

Her first major success came with the film Namaste London in 2007 where she starred opposite Akshay Kumar. Her fist role in a negative sense was in the movie Race directed by Abbas Mustan in 2008. Singh is King was her next big success story and after not so successful movies like Partner, Apne , Humko Deewana Kar Gaye all between 2006 to 2008.

Then she also starred in movie like New York, Blue and Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahani in 2009. In 2010 she was seen in Rajneeti which was also a block buster and she is currently working on Farah Khans Tees Maar Khan. She is undoubtedly one of the top actresses of Bollywood.
