Vidya Balan who was not much in news after the release of Paa is back into the limelight once again. If things fall in place she will be rubbing shoulders with Ajay Devgan in Ekta Kapoors forthcoming film on the life of Silk Smitha. According to the sources Ajay will be playing the part of a reputed filmmaker who is into a relationship with Silk Smitha during her heyday.

Vidya balan is one of the well known film stars in Bollywood.  She started her career in Hindi films with Parineeta released in 2005. She got lots of appreciation for her performance in this film. This film brought her the Filmfare Award as the best debutant actress. Some of her best performances include films like Heyy Baby, Lage Raho Munna Bhai, Bhool Bhulaiya, Guru etc.

Vidya again won the Filmfare Best Actress Award for Paa. In this film she played the role of a single mother of a 12 year old boy who had a genetic defect progeria. She made an outstanding performance in this film.

She is currently working in a film called No one killed Jessica based on model Jessica Lalls murder. How Vidya fares as Silk Smitha remains a matter of speculation.
