Actress Sonam Kapoor who is already become the toast of Bollywood for her charismatic looks and though some of the critics that have doubted her acting capabilities would soon have to keep shut as she is supposed to have said that she is open to work in Bengali films on the 31st of July in Calcutta.

The Bengali film industry which generally delves on character based acting and less of glamor could be a good opportunity for the actress to prove her talent to critics who doubt her capabilities. She is also said to have told that one of her favorite movie directors in Bengali film industry was Bimol Roy.

Bimal Roy is better known as the Silent Master of the Indian Cinemas with his films like Do Bigha Zameen and Devdas. Sonam was there in Kolkata to promote her upcoming film Aisha which is making news on television channels and is also said to be one of her best performances till date. Sonam is learnt to have told that, I would work in a Bengali movie if I am provided with a good script.

Certainly if Sonam wants she would get the best of scripts for herself in Bengali. It is no doubt that she would have to prove herself in the near future and do more dynamic roles in movies. The industry is of no consequence at all but acting is.
